BACYP clubs
Through our many years of experience, we know that young people need to have places to go and things to do.
We support this knowledge through our network of affiliated clubs who remain autonomous and responsive to community needs. Young people can provide positive and constructive contributions to their community and we encourage clubs to include and involve them in management and decision-making, ensuring they have a real say in the type of provision they require.
- BACYP provides advice and guidance on the governance and administration of each youth club. We also represent the network through our two national organisations: UK Youth and Clubs for Young People.
- Individual youth clubs are provided with the necessary policies and training is offered to cover the essential elements of running a club and ensuring that a safe, challenging and enjoyable programme is on offer to young people.
- To support club development, we offer a quality assurance scheme known as Quality Mark, which is recognised by the National Youth Agency and the Department for Education and Skills. Clubs with Quality Mark Status can be found here.
- Through our national network, BACYP can support each club to develop annual programmes which recognise and reward the performance, involvement and achievements of all club members, at a range of levels to suit time, ability and commitment.
BACYP is very proud of its proven track record of supporting clubs since the 1940’s. We exist to provide the best possible support for young people, club leaders and the community. BACYP services are geared towards helping clubs develop through our Activity, Action and Training programmes.
