BACYP holds a wide variety of activities and events throughout the year. All of our events are open to our member clubs and their young people.

13th October 2007 Rugby Challenge Cup
A curtain raiser for the Newbury Blues v Rotherham and a chance to show off their rugby talent.
Young people from Great Shefford and Beedon will be show casing their talent and the skills they have learnt over the past few weeks after coaching from Chris Rainbow, from Newbury RFC.

Gillette Cup Football
Are you u16 and enjoy playing football? Do you want the chance to represent Berkshire and play at The Valley, home of Charlton Athletic? The Gillette Cup is a National competition for young men aged 16 years and under. More information on this event in the Forum.

Drama Day - 1st December
This year’s Drama workshop is being held at Amersham Road Youth and Community Centre. The workshop is open to males and female, aged 10 – 16 years and all drama abilities.
During the day, children will learn a Drama performance and perfect their drama techniques before a small presentation to family and friends at the end of the day, for which we encourage parents and relatives to attend.
Ally Pally Ice Skating
A fantastic trip to London to Ice Skate at Midnight!! Skating at Alexandra Palace with other young people from across the South!

CYP Boxing Championships 2007-08
The South West Preliminary round in the CYP Boxing Championships will take place at Broadplain t on Sunday 13th January 2008. Entry forms for the boxers will be sent out in October. This is an additional round taking the place of individual County Rounds.

The 2007-08 CYP National Boxing Championships will take place between January and March 2008. The probable dates for the preliminary rounds and finals are:

Gillette Cup
National Football competition for young men fron Berkshire. A fantastic opportunity to compete against other teams in the south with a chance to play the national finals at a National Football stadium!

Pool Championships - 2nd February 2008
From u12 to u19, both male and female, novice to expert. Every year the BACYP County Pool Championships gives young people the opportunity to participate in a free pool championship, with the opportunity to represent Berkshire at the Regional Finals.

Whose nerves will take the pressure to become the BACYP five-a-side Champions?
In the closely fought contest, the winners will represent Berkshire at the CYP South East Finals!

Boxing Coaching Course - 23rd - 28th March 2008
-For young men aged 12–16 years with a valid ME3 card
Covers individual instruction, meals, accommodation, recreational programme, competitions and souvenirs.
This specialised course is planned for dedicated young boxers. It is an ideal reward to those club boxers who have shown a consistently positive attitude to training and their own personal development in and out of the club, in short he is your ‘Club Ambassador’. The half interested usually spoil it for the majority, so if you cannot give 100% then please do not apply.
Course includes: skills, movement, sparring, footwork, video, gym work, tuition.
Trophies for ‘best effort’ and ‘most improved’, plus ‘club ambassador’ award.
We need a small number of club trainers to assist in running the course, providing you with the chance to work alongside ABAE coaches and gain valuable experience.

Regional Finals for 5 aside and Pool
During April we see the Regional Finals at 5 aside Football and Pool, for those young people who won the BACYP County Championships. Competing against young people from Buckinghamshire, Kent, Middlesex, Oxfordshire Sussex and Surrey for a place in the National Finals.
10th May 2008 - BACYP and Thames Valley ABC Boxing Show
The first Boxing Show in Berkshire for a few years. This event sees Berkshire Boxers competing against Wales as well as other Boxers from Leicester, Oxfordshire and London. A Black Tie event with an evening meal before the show commences.
BACYP County Athletics Championships
Annual BACYP County Athletics Championships sees over 200 young people competing track and field events at Thames Valley Athletics Centre. The winners of each event are selected to represent Berkshire at the CYP National Finals.
CYP South Area Pool Finals
The winners from the BACYP County Championships compete against young people from Buckinghamshire, Kent, Middlesex, Oxfordshire Sussex and Surrey for a place in the National Finals.

CYP UK Athletics Championships
The Berkshire squad will compete against other young athletes from across the UK, in an attempt to bring home a medal, team trophy and County trophy!
