Berkshire Youth in partnership with Connexions Thames Valley are offering a new programme for 14 to 16 year olds who are at risk of becoming NEET or excluded from mainstream education and need support in addressing the barriers that inhibit their engagement.
LEAP is a 12 week roll-on-roll off programme for young people living in Reading, Bracknell and Slough. LEAP uses Individual Learning Plans in order to tailor the programme to the young person’s specific needs.
Referrals are invited from Connexions Advisors, Schools, Pupil Referral Units, Youth Offending Services, Youth Workers and other front line staff.
Referrals will be by form, available on request from Jason Moor (jason.moor@berkshireyouth.co.uk / 07500 829 721) who will then contact you to discuss the reasons for referral in more detail. After this discussion the young person will be contacted and invited for an initial assessment to ensure the course can appropriately address the young person’s individual needs.
