NEET Solutions Project
The NEET Solutions project is funded by the Learning and Skills Council and is designed to move some of Berkshire’s hardest to reach young people closer to employment or further training.
BACYP manage the project, sub-contracting delivery to appropriate voluntary sector organisations. These organisations appoint mentors, who guide small groups of young people through a ten week development programme, including visits to local businesses, e-learning in Health and Safety and Basic Food Hygiene and a range of soft skills activities.
We will as an organisation:
- Identify appropriate forms of accreditation for the programme
- Develop the menu of local organisations to host visits
- Compile fact sheets for groups to complete at each visit
- Identify suitable subcontractors and negotiate appropriate terms, conditions targets and start dates
- Arrange induction weeks for each group in conjunction with the subcontractor and the BACYP Training Office
- Ensure that the project runs according to schedule and is successful against agreed targets
- Develop an appropriate evaluation framework for the project
